Dr. Jesus Sanchez
For Dr. Jesús Sánchez, dentistry has been a part of his entire life. Growing up in Puerto Rico, he visited his parents’ dental practice daily and the field always intrigued him.
As he grew older, Dr. Sánchez realized the importance of his parents’ work, and helping people in their community, which is what fuels his passion for dentistry today. Dr. Sánchez remembers, “As I was growing up, I understood that in the field of dentistry I would be able to do something I enjoy and give back. That mentality of helping people is what drives me to work and do the best that I can.” Dr. Sánchez is thrilled to be a part of Morrison Dental Group and is excited to meet new patients. He is an “eternal student,” constantly looking to learn more about new technologies in the dental field and how he can better serve his patients.
Dr. Sánchez attended the University of Puerto Rico of Dental Medicine and completed two residencies, one being a General Practice Residency at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, PA, and the second at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ with a focus on Oral Surgery.
Dr. Sánchez is a proud Eagle Scout and is looking forward to sharing his love for the outdoors with his children. Dr. Sánchez enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, reading, water sports, and being a part of the community. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Susana, a former dancer and wedding coordinator who now dedicates her days to being a stay-at-home mom for their sons, Lorenzo and Javier. The family lives in Williamsburg with their dog, Emma, whom they adopted from the Humane Society on the couple’s first anniversary.
Dr. Julita Marasigan
Dr. Julita Marasigan was always considered quite the “handyman” growing up in the Philippines. As a young adult, she was not sure what type of work she wanted to do but knew she wanted to help others improve their health.
Her love for fixing and repairing things and a desire to work in the healthcare field led her to dentistry, and she’s never looked back. Dr. Marasigan said, “I feel a great sense of accomplishment when I have changed another person’s outlook on life because they feel better about their smile.”
Dr. Marasigan grew up in the Philippines but also spent a few years in Zambia. She attended dental school at the University of the Philippines, and then went on to complete a two-year Advanced Education degree in General Dentistry with Lutheran Medical Center in New York. Dr. Marasigan and her family have recently moved to Williamsburg, VA, and they are looking forward to being active members in the community. In the past, she has participated with volunteer outreach programs in the Philippines, and now Dr. Marasigan looks forward to settling down and volunteering here in Williamsburg.
Dr. Marasigan is married to Ariel, a medical technologist. They have a teenage daughter, Faith, who despite being an only child, is very kind and generous. They also have a five-year-old Mini Dachshund named Hershey. In her spare time, Dr. Marasigan is an amateur photographer and furniture restorer. She enjoys finding old pieces of furniture and restoring them to their original glory. Dr. Marasigan and her family also enjoy finding new places to visit, especially historic towns and cities. In addition, they love camping and hiking.
